Inspired by “Bang Bang,” TSoA’s take on the 1966 classic, which was written by Sonny Bono, first recorded by his Mrs., Cher, and famously covered by Nancy Sinatra. The song is about children who grow up together playing toy guns and later marry—but it ends with the husband leaving (“My baby shot me down”). Our twist ramps up the fun and drama: Our singer is an assassin, hired to kill the very man who broke her heart. Inspired by the design elements of ’60s icon Saul Bass (of James Bond fame), our animated music video brings the classic song a new, tantalizingly sexy twist.
